Idea Recruiters is assisting in the search for a Part-Time Bookkeeper for a local religious establishment in Orange Park, FL.

JOB SUMMARY

The Bookkeeper is responsible for performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting duties for the non-profit religious establishment.

SHIFT INFORMATION
  • Starting Pay Range: $20 -  $25 Hourly
  • Days: Monday - Thursday
  • Maximum Weekly Hours: 15
  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepares financial statements and reports for religious establishments and the preschool
    • Profit & Loss Statements
    • Balance Sheets
    • Reconciliations
    • Internal Audits
    • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Reporting
    • Various other reports and financial statements
  • Assist in preparing operating budgets
  • Prepare and maintain employment and insurance records
  • Process receipts, payments, and reimbursements
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Make deposits
  • Provide payroll information to vendor for processing
  • Respond to financial inquiries from religious establishment leaders, members, vendors, and various other personnel
  • Share general office duties with others
  • Various other duties as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • 2 Years Accounting experience Required
  • Non-Profit Accounting experience is a plus
  • High school diploma required
  • Must be able to pass a Level II background check
  • Strong bookkeeping experience: general ledger entry, accounts payable and receivable, financial statements, payroll, etc
  • Ability to read, comprehend and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including proper grammar and punctuation
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively and courteously in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently, to plan, prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments
  • High level of computer proficiency and ability to trouble-shoot issues: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc), accounting programs, Google, etc
  • Must be proficient in typing and managing various software-related applications and use of internet
Required Skills

-Non-Profit Accounting experience a plus
- High School Diploma Required
- 2 years accounting experience
