ABOUT THE POSITION
Trusted data starts with complete, accurate, and valid master data. The Supplier Master Data Specialist will be responsible for being a subject matter expert and adherence to enterprise-wide supplier master data strategy, ensuring data quality within the supplier master database, promoting data governance and auditing for compliance and corrective action. Partnership across functional areas (i.e. Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Global Sourcing, and Finance) to ensure all elements of the supplier master data are complete, accurate and driving the correct systemic activities within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
The Supplier Master Data Specialist handles the process execution of new supplier requests and supplier changes and maintains the quality of the supplier master data at the Astec Global Master Org (GMO). Develops consistent data in accordance with the business rules of the corporation. Responsibilities also include data scrubbing, monitoring data entry exception, data de-duplication, ensuring overall data quality.
The Supplier Master Data Specialist will be responsible for being a subject matter expert in the onboarding, utilization and monitoring the usage of the supplier portal. Partnerships with suppliers and buyers to help facilitate the utilization and communication of requirements and updates through the use of the tool. Using the supplier portal to provide a centralized location for all supplier records, purchase orders, requests, and conversations.
Deliverables & Responsibilities- Supplier standardization, consolidation, and deduplication processes.
- Audit on a consistent cycle, new supplier entries to the Oracle Fusion Cloud for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices within Oracle Fusion Cloud.
- Support business promoting Supplier Portal usage and functionality.
- Support business promoting electronic payment options for suppliers.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate AP information, including ACH banking information, payment methods, terms, invoice hold controls, payment advice, and pay sites.
- Ensure authenticity of supplier data changes to protect the business from fraud.
- Develop and maintain accurate tax information and documentation, supplier classifications, qualifications, contacts, products and services, and site assignments.
- Maintain strategy on future sites supplier conversion with consideration of global supplier database, multi-site supplier utilization, and global sourcing strategy.
- Maintain external supplier registration process and approval workflows, including both prospective and spend authorized suppliers.
- Collaborate with business users to maintain prospective supplier listings, supplier capabilities, qualifications, products, and services.
- Maintain process flows for Supplier Registration, Manage Supplier Profile, and Supplier Setup for OTM, considering future site integration into Oracle Cloud.
- On-boarding of the top 20% of suppliers to the tool as a minimum.
- System for monitoring and encouraging the use of PO acknowledgements by suppliers.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience in supply chain.
- Procurement and/or accounts payable experience, required.
- Experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud supplier module, preferred.
- Effective communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in executing data governance or data stewardship programs, as well as strong knowledge of data governance, data management and data quality standards and practices associated with master data management concepts
