The Position: Intern, Project Controls
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to): The Project Controls Intern will engage in project controls assignments focusing on either Scheduling or Cost Engineering, or a combination of both. Working under general supervision of the Project Controls Manager of a project, will contribute to complex project controls assignments as they gain experience. Generally, an individual contributor, the candidate may support small to medium-sized projects involving cost and/or scheduling activities and supports in managing project costs, overseeing data management, and tracking material requisitions to ensure accurate, timely, and effective project reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to follow up on project information, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure that all project data is up-to-date and accurate. Summary of responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitor and control project costs, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis for capital projects
Oversee material requisitions, track inventory, and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. Troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues to avoid project delays
Coordinate with project teams, finance, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary data and resolve discrepancies
Assist in developing and maintaining standardized procedures for project cost control, and data management
Utilize project management tools to manage and report data, ensuring alignment with project goals
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Majoring and currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Construction Management
Ability to perform research and analysis, including the ability to obtain and evaluate relevant data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective follow-ups and stakeholder engagement
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, business acumen, management ability.
