Leveraging innovative solutions and technologies, we serve customers all over the world.ABOUT THE POSITIONWork closely with the Combustion Service Group Manager to provide the best customer experience and support Field Service Technicians.Key Deliverables• Manage the quality of work and budget costs.• Prepare work schedules for Service Technicians.• Report project progress and challenges.• Oversee and facilitate the installations of equipment and components for projects.• Provide support by identifying and resolving issues at any site.Key Activities & Responsibilities• Schedule all rental equipment needed for each job.• Manage all expenses for all road work.• Enter service report information into ERP system.• Work directly with the Combustion Service Group Manager on all field issues.• Schedule technicians and following up with customers on field service reports.• Frequently travel to job sites to look at construction jobs.• Estimate cost for installs and repairs for Service department.• Work with Engineering department and Shop for repairs.• Work with Sales department and customers.• Enter all road time for Construction department.• Must follow all company policies and rules.To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:• High School diploma or equivalent required; Business/Office courses preferred• Possess excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software• Project Coordinator experience preferred, but not required• Possess knowledge of job costing and project estimating principles and practices• Able to work on projects unassisted, handle multiple assignments at one time, and meet deadlines• Possess excellent mathematical and analytical skills• Experience in a manufacturing environment with general construction and welding processes and possess an understanding of job layouts• Able to work effectively as a member of a team, respecting everyone’s skills and unique talents in order to help ensure an enjoyable and productive work environment• Able to solve practical problems and deal appropriately with a variety of situations related to the Service department, including irate customers• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use interpersonal skills to interact effectively throughout the organization and with all levels of customersSupervisor and Leadership Expectations: All Construction crew and ForemanOUR CULTURE & VALUESEmployees that become part of Astec embody the values below throughout their work:• Continuous devotion to meeting the needs of our customers• Honesty and integrity in all aspects of business• Respect for all individuals• Preserving entrepreneurial spirit and innovation• Safety, quality, and productivity as means to ensure successWORK ENVIRONMENTOfficeWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of injury in an office environment and occasionally a manufacturing shop plant environment.
