2025 Summer Internship — Commercial Roof Research Internship

The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is seeking interns to join our team this summer. As an IBHS intern, you’ll contribute to our mission of strengthening homes, businesses, and communities against severe weather—which means making a difference in the lives of real people. What You’ll Learn 
As a Commercial Roof Research Intern, you’ll get experience in supporting IBHS’s research including, but not limited to:

• Process and analyze data obtained from the full-scale wind tunnel on a single-ply roof.
• Execute experiments in the IBHS small laboratory on single-ply roof assemblies using Pressure Loading Actuators.
• Synthesize results and evaluate the performance of roof assemblies from wind tunnel and laboratory experiments. ​​​​

• Enthusiasm for hands-on laboratory work is desired
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint

• Meteorology 
• Engineering

Applicants should be authorized to work in the US.  All positions are located on site, five days/week at the named location. This is approximately a 10-week program working 40 hours/week.
