Description
The Service Technician provides support for production of Lithium based power products, including Lithium batteries, charging systems and power electronics.

The technician is responsible for installation, start-up, troubleshooting, training, and field technical support. This will involve traveling to customer sites to troubleshoot/repair technical issues while exhibiting excellent customer service skills.  Technicians are also involved in new projects in the development cycle.

As a Service Technician, you will:
  • Travel required 50-75%.
  • Troubleshoot and repair field issues and returned materials.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and help conduct root cause analysis of field issues
  • Manage equipment needed to support the service and warranty of the motive power batteries.
  • Track and document all field related issues (i.e., trip reports, call log)
  • Adhere to all safety rules and maintain quality housekeeping in work area
  • Manage all required on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
  • Work with dealers via phone and email to mitigate field issues including weekends on call.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and dealers, represent the company positively in all interactions.
  • Determine customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations when necessary.
  • Provide feedback on field issues to product development to continually focus on improving quality.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when necessary, on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
The right candidate should possess:
  • The ability and willingness to travel 50 – 75% of the time.
  • A technical degree or certification preferred or equivalent experience in field service will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • The proven ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Experience in failure analysis and corrective action implementations.
  • Experience in product manufacturing and production operations.
  • Possess excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities.
  • Proven ability to be responsible for all aspects of position with minimal supervision.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A step ahead, but not required:
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and battery power system manufacturing techniques.
