Tablescapes is seeking a highly organized and driven Logistics Manager for their Franklin Park, IL location to oversee the critical operations of our event services order fulfilment department. This individual will be responsible for dispatch management, load planning, fleet coordination, and ensuring the smooth flow of two-way logistics (pickup and drop-off). The ideal candidate thrives in complex, hands-on environments and has experience managing logistics in situations where automation is limited.
As the Logistics Manager you will oversee:
  • Dispatch Management: Plan and oversee the scheduling and dispatching of delivery and pickup crews to ensure on-time execution of event logistics.
  • Load Planning: Optimize the loading and unloading of trucks to ensure equipment is transported efficiently and securely. Loads are frequently unpalletized, and deliveries & pickups occur in a mixed fashion throughout any given route, adding to the complexity of load planning.   
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and deployment of the company’s vehicle fleet to maximize availability and minimize downtime.
  • Order Fulfillment: Coordinate last-minute orders or changes with agility and precision, ensuring client needs are met even on short notice, including potential for being on-call for night emergencies.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics personnel to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve logistics efficiency within a manual process framework, focusing on managing efficiency of labor hours.
  • Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate tracking of equipment for timely deliveries and returns.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for logistics-related client inquiries, ensuring clear and professional communication.
To be successful in the role you must possess:
  • Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, fleet management, or load planning.
  • Strong preference for candidates with military logistics experience or experience in the event rental industry.
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a “get stuff done” mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and interact with clients.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and DOT compliance is a requirement
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems (e.g., Excel, email) with the ability to learn industry-specific tools.
  • English / Spanish bilingual is a benefit but not a requirement.
Compensation
  • Salary plus annual bonus: $100-150K

Pay Range
$100,000.00   Annually to $150,000.00   Annually
