Annual Giving Manager

Job Summary:
The Annual Giving Manager is a key member of the Development team. This person is responsible for planning and implementing strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors to support annual giving. This position will oversee direct mail and the annual fund including donor stewardship, cultivation, and retention.
Essential Annual Giving Manager Functions:
- Demonstrate La Rabida Children’s Hospital’s core values.
- Stay abreast of current trends and research in philanthropy.
- Manage a portfolio of individual prospects and donors and cultivate private family foundation support.
- Oversee and launch a bi-annual direct mail campaign to support the fundraising goals.
- Communicate with donors via phone, email and in-person to advance La Rabida’s mission, strategic vision and identify ways to align with donors’ desires to impact that mission.
- Provide donors with high-quality reporting on the impact of their gifts.
- Represent La Rabida Children’s Hospital at events in and around the community.
- Participate in regularly scheduled department meetings. Collaborate and help with fundraising marketing activities, including events.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Related Work Experience: Minimum three years successful fundraising experience (Preferred in Non-Profit or health care industry)
Licensure/Certification: None
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, fundraising software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge). Excellent writing, verbal editing, research and interpersonal communication skills.
Superior problem solving, analytical, decision making & team building skills
Detail oriented and ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Well organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent comprehensive knowledge of grant preparation and administration principles. Demonstrated success in identifying and securing public and private funding. Relevant experience includes not only professional advocacy on behalf of others, but personal experience with community-based health care, Infant and children, chronic illness, mental illness, or other issues affecting our client population.
