Account/Remittance Clerk | Temp-to-Hire | FT | $22-$25/hour | On-Site in Plymouth Meeting, PA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will perform a range of clerical accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. Proficiency in Excel is essential for this position and experience with QuickBooks is a preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records by entering data into the accounting system (QuickBooks).
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Maintain filing systems for financial documents and records.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.
  • Stay updated on company policies and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Accounts payable/receivable.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, v-look-up, pivot tables) and QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items up to 10-15 lbs.
