Location: ECF Westside Art Center (Exceptional Building- Inglewood)
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt (TEMPORARY POSITION)
Compensation: $20.00 /hour

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Supervisory Responsibility: None

 
Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and computer-literate individual to assist with the backend management of our program’s website. This temporary full-time position involves reviewing and updating product pages to ensure accurate tagging, categorization, and consistent descriptions across all listings. Additional responsibilities may include re-photographing artwork as needed.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Under the supervision of the Gallery and Events Supervisor, review and update product pages for accuracy and consistency by properly tagging and categorizing artwork and standardizing product descriptions.
  • Provide quality control by identifying and correcting errors in product listings to maintain a uniform look and feel across all shop items.
  • Occasionally re-photograph artwork for better presentation, edit JPG images, and upload images for web display.
  • Collaborate with other ECF Art Center staff to collect pertinent information and verify product details for accuracy. Follow ECF guidelines to maintain brand and content standards.
  • Organize digital assets and ensure files are properly labeled and assist with minor technical troubleshooting related to website updates.

Other Duties
  • Comply with ECF’s Injury and illness Prevention Program.  Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment.
  • Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements.
  • To provide continuity of services, non-exempt employees are expected to observe regular, on-site work hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications

Education/Licenses/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or coursework in digital media, communications, art, or related field is a plus, but not required.

Experience: Six months experience in data entry, administrative support, or content editing.  Experience working with website content management systems (CMS) and progressive art studios is a plus.

Knowledge/ Abilities/Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of photography and imaging editing (e.g., resizing, cropping, adjusting brightness). 
  • Basic knowledge of contemporary art.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task using a high level of accuracy, prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurate data recording and management capabilities. 
  • Maintain professional appearance, dress, and demeanor.

Work Environment

The Art Center Program is for adults who have varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and
developmental disabilities. Employee may encounter artists who are in crisis, exhibiting emotional/psychological distress or behaving in an aggressive manner. Exposure to odors from acrylic paints, oil base paints, and cleaning and mixing solutions; fine debris from ceramics; mild noise from the kiln and from instructors and artists interacting in an open space. Environment may include frequent interruptions, loud noise, varying indoor temperature, and drafts.

Pay Range
