About the role:
The Senior Manager of Retail Store Construction & Design will take the lead in overseeing all retail store design development and construction projects. This senior-level role is responsible for managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with brand standards, budget control, and on-time delivery. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative marketing, retail operations, and finance, while providing leadership and mentorship to the retail development team.

What you’ll do:
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to create retail environments that reflect the brand’s identity and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee the selection of materials, fixtures, and finishes, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness; maintain sample library
  • Solicit real-time feedback from Retail and Leadership teams, informing the evolution of store design
  • Manage project teams consisting of architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Maintain Project Management tool, ensuring visibility to current status of all projects
  • Analyze site surveys and build NSO budgets to best inform proformas and site selections
  • Manage capital spending of new Retail store build-outs and ensure budgets are maintained by project and for total year 
  • Ensure project milestones are met and projects are delivered on time
  • Ensure all projects adhere to brand and quality standards
  • Create and maintain all documentation/ throughout NSO project
  • Manage and deliver upon NSO budgets, reporting on any potential overspend clearly to the business
  • Report on the status of projects on applicable calls and meetings
  • Examine construction documentation, including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Monitor project work with the General Contractor
  • Coordination of all architectural and construction activities involved with the opening of Rhone’s retail store build-outs
  • Confirm and verify permitting requirements related to the retail store build-out
  • Ensure on-time delivery of projects within budget and in accordance with compliance requirements and quality standards
  • Ensure all stakeholders review and approve accurate drawings of the proposed works
  • Sourcing and coordination for all third parties, vendors, and service providers
  • In partnership with VP, Retail Development, negotiation of bids from all third parties, vendors, and service providers
  • Acquire documentation to ensure milestones for Tenant Improvement Allowances are achieved and the company is paid timely

What you’ll bring:
  • 5 + years of experience in project management with a strong architecture and construction background
  • Computer literate with capability in email, Microsoft Office, and related business and communication tools
  • Basic AutoCad – ability to prepare space plans and furnishing layouts
  • Strong understanding of Retail and Operational excellence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel extensively,  flexible scheduling, and work weekends when necessary
  • Ability to lift boxes / weight of up to 50lb
