We are currently accepting applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Diesel Mechanic for the New Iberia,LA and surrounding areas.  Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

• Job Scope:
  • Work on equipment as needed
• Required Skills:
  • MUST have DIESEL MECHANIC experience (5 years required)
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Diagnostic skills
  • Wide knowledge base
  • MUST be able to use hand tools efficiently
• Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ideal candidate will be working on heavy equipment
  • Ideal candidate will inspect, keep up and repair diesel engines for company vehicle/equipment
  • Ideal Candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts
  • Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
  • Must be able to understand the vehicles electrical system, engine, and all of its working parts.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
  • Test drive vehicles/equipment to diagnose malfunctions
  • Test-drive vehicles/equipment to ensure that they run smoothly
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Must have good endurance
  • Will be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform task
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• Documents Required:
  • Driver's License/Identification Card
  • Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• Must be able to provide own PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)
• Pay:
  • (DOE)
  • Weekly Pay
  • Pay schedule: Monday - Sunday
• Schedule:
  • 10-12 hour days (with weather permitting)
  • Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)
• Duration of Job: Temp to hire
