The Field Service Engineer III is responsible for assisting with the design, production, installation, and maintenance of ESI’s cutting-edge e-beam processors and subassemblies, in accordance with ESI protocols. They will also work on the installation and maintenance of various ESI-manufactured Electron Processors and Ultraviolet systems, and assist with various trainings.

· Sets up, adjusts, and operates standard and custom-built electronic instruments to measure the performance of electronic circuits and sub-systems.
· Test circuit cards and sub-assemblies used on the Electron Processors.
· Troubleshoot to the component level and repair electronic circuits and subsystems returned by the customer.
· Assist in the mechanical assembly of the Electron Processor.
· Follow and assist with the maintenance of written procedures to test, calibrate, and record data associated with new Electron Processor units and Ultraviolet systems, in accordance with ESI-established ISO directives and quality procedures.
· Install and maintain all types of ESI-manufactured Electron Processors at the customer’s facility.
· Perform on-site dosimetry test.
· Provide on-site customer training, maintenance, and safety training for operators.
· Provide limited customer support via telephone in diagnosing malfunctions with the equipment.
· Assist in the development of new test procedures and the revision of existing procedures.
· Communicate effectively and assist engineering regarding changes, upgrades, and R&D projects.
· Using established procedures to initiate corrective action for design or documentation discrepancies.
· Provide on-site customer training for operators and maintenance personnel on ESI equipment.
· Write detailed technical reports on service calls and installations in a timely manner
· Provide assistance and training for newly hired field service engineers.
· Proficient with using the ESI business system to identify part numbers and to support testing of new equipment.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Electron Processors, Ultraviolet systems and related technology.
· Knowledge of ESI system software and its interface with customer equipment.
· Work closely with the Engineering department.
· Identify and document successful ISO and quality initiatives, improvements, and potential areas for improvement.

Education/Experience:
· Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and 7 - 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
· Read, analyze, and interpret business, professional, technical, or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the public.
Mathematical Ability:
· Apply advanced concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Apply operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, test reliability/validity, variance analysis, correlation technique, sampling theory and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
· Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· General computer knowledge preferred.
