Associate Center Clinical Director – Richmond, VA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM

As an Associate Center Clinical Director, you’ll lead a team of dedicated Primary Care Providers (PCPs) while also delivering hands-on care. This hybrid leadership role is ideal for a compassionate, strategic physician who thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
You’ll be responsible for driving clinical excellence, improving outcomes, and fostering a culture of engagement and accountability. Your leadership will directly influence the health and satisfaction of both patients and providers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Mentor: Supervise, coach, and develop PCPs to ensure high-quality, value-based care.
- Deliver Care: Provide direct patient care based on center needs, balancing clinical and leadership duties.
- Team Leadership: Guide interdisciplinary care teams, including medical assistants, care coordinators, and facilitators.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and transitional care teams to ensure seamless care across settings.
- Operational Excellence: Partner with Center Operations and Market Leadership to improve clinical performance, financial outcomes, and patient membership growth.
- Culture Building: Champion a positive, high-performing clinical culture through weekly Super Huddles, Transforming Care Meetings, and leadership rounding.
- Center Support: Step in for clinical leadership as needed, monitor daily census, and support provider and patient recruitment efforts.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Licensure: Active medical license in Louisiana and current DEA registration for Schedule II–V substances.
- Board Certification: Board Certified (preferred) or Board Eligible in a relevant specialty.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in adult or geriatric care; leadership experience preferred.
- Training: Completion of ChenMed leadership development programs (e.g., Masterful Conversations, meeting facilitation).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

- Required Skills

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other applications used in the company
-Ability and willingness to travel locally as needed in their market, if applicable, nationally for initial training (2 weeks) and then occasionally regionally and nationally for recruiting or training purposes
-Fluency in English, verbal and written. There may be jobs in some centers that require fluency in other languages, and this will be made known at the time of application.
