POSITION: SALES MANAGER (DOWNSTATE)
LOCATION: REMOTE within GREATER NYC, LONG ISLAND, OR WESTCHESTER, NY areas.
SUMMARY: Our client, New York State Industries for the Disabled, Inc. (NYSID), is looking for a Sales Manager to join their Downstate NY team! The Sales Manager will supervise all downstate Account Representatives and the functions and operations of those roles from Long Island to Westchester, NY. The position oversees directs and manages the sales downstate of its products and service offerings, including the development of new products and services and the expansion of existing markets. Looking for an individual who can achieve and maintain excellent service levels to the satisfaction of NYSID, its members and customers. The duties of the position also include fostering a partnership among NYSID, its customers and member agencies and corporate partners, and developing a rapport among customers, members and oversight entities (NYS Office of General Services, etc.).
ABOUT NYSID: NYSID, based in Albany, NY, is the Non-Profit organization designated by the NYS Education Department under the New York State Finance law to enter into contracts pursuant to New York’s Preferred Source programs, to provide gainful employment for New Yorkers with disabilities. Rehabilitative agencies throughout New York State which provide support services to individuals with disabilities, choose to become members of NYSID. On behalf of these members, and sometimes in conjunction with private sector partners, NYSID enters into contracts with state and local government agencies for goods and services which disabled New Yorkers create or perform. NYSID has been named a Top Work Place, in 2021, 2023 and 2025 by the Albany Times Union.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:· Working with the VP of Sales, develop and implement an overall downstate sales plan designed for growth and customer satisfaction.
· Direct downstate Account Representatives in their efforts to maintain existing customers and acquire new business.
· Create sales goals and forecasts, and manage performance to meet those objectives.
· Serve as high level NYSID representative in sales meetings, servicing contracts, and other functions.
· Work to identify and vet new Members and Corporate Partners.
· Identify new opportunities in both the product and service sectors.
· Working with NYSID’s VP, Sales and Marketing Analyst, develop annual sales forecast and quarterly reforecast.
· Establish call frequency guidelines with Account Representatives for both NYSID members and customers.
· Evaluate individual downstate Account Representative’s performance including achievement of sales goals, customer satisfaction, customer retention, and member satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related area of study.
· Five to eight years’ work experience in marketing and/or sales, with an emphasis on negotiation, sales strategic planning, public relations, and conflict resolution.
· Supervisory experience and ability to motivate direct reports to enhance sales and meet goals.
· Experience and/or knowledge in state and/or local government markets and its operations preferred.
· Knowledge of and experience in brokering business relations between rehabilitation agencies and state/local governments preferred.
· Ability to balance multiple, often conflicting priorities, in order to achieve established goals.
· Experience with various computer software applications (spreadsheets, word processing, presentation and database), preferably Microsoft Office Suite. NetSuite knowledge a plus.
· Valid NYS Driver’s License with the ability and willingness to travel through entire State.

PAY RANGE: $90,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
