RN-Pediatric Emergency

Location: Washington, DC

Join our dedicated team of pediatric emergency specialists making a difference in young lives every day. As our Pediatric Emergency RN, you'll provide compassionate, specialized care to infants, children, and young adults during their most critical moments of need.

In this vital role, you'll deliver expert clinical care and coordinate seamless treatment for our youngest patients. Working within our patient-centered care framework, you'll provide professional leadership to the healthcare team while upholding our hospital's highest standards of excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage sick or injured children quickly with precision and care
• Provide emergency care and medications with confidence and expertise
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition with vigilant attention to detail
• Support and educate families during emergencies with compassion and clarity
• Collaborate effectively with doctors and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required
• Emergency or pediatric nursing experience – preferred
• Strong skills in critical thinking, communication, and working under pressure
• ACLS- required

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• DC RN license required
• Prefer one-year full-time or three years' part-time experience in acute care setting
• TNCC within first year of employment

• Demonstrate a proven track record of commitment, with the ability to sustain employment for a minimum of two years
