Make a meaningful difference in patients' lives as a Patient Care Technician on our dedicated healthcare team! As a vital member of our patient care staff, you'll provide compassionate, hands-on care while working alongside our nursing professionals in diverse clinical settings including Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units and Outpatient Infusion Centers. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to develop valuable healthcare skills while directly impacting patient outcomes through timely, safe, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

  • Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Assist patients with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating
  • Help move and transport patients safely
  • Report on changes in patient condition to nursing staff
  • Support nurses during treatments and procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized patient areas
  • Provide comfort and emotional support to patients

Qualifications:

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR), and vital sign equipment
  • Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as specimen collection, EKGs, and assisting with mobility
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Ability to lift, move, and assist patients as needed
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and infection control protocols

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 6 months or more of recent hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience
  • Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
  • Patient Care Technician certification required
