Position Summary
The Group Configuration Lead is responsible for successful implementation of new and renewing group business for Moda. Acts as general resource for implementation questions, conducting analysis, configuration, and documentation of solutions for group structure, premiums for all funding types, agent commission arrangements, employer online enrollment setup and ID card issuance. This is a FT hybrid role based in Portland, Oregon.Pay Range
$27.49 - $30.92 hourly (depending on experience)
**Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Required Skills, Experience & Education:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in the health insurance industry.
- Experience building groups in Facets or other systems strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of health plans.
- Medicare, Medicaid, and Individual business preferred.
- Ability to train others and present information in organized and easily understood manner.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong ability to gather and document requirements from customer meetings.
- Strong knowledge of Facets and business components, especially benefits, premiums, provider networks and membership/enrollment.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to use industry knowledge to relate to customer needs in order to dissolve any concerns.
- High level of focus and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with good time management and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate broad work objectives while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Ability to function as part of a team.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft office applications, to include Microsoft Visio.
- Typing proficiency of 35 wpm and 10key proficiency of 135 wpm.
- Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.
- Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
Primary Functions:- Responsible for managing or assisting with projects.
- Manages the work inventory of a small team to ensure timely completion of work while ensuring configuration quality.
- Assists with the development of training, implementation of best practices, and process improvement, to ensure efficient, quality configuration of the core systems.
- Instructs, motivates, and directs individuals at various skill levels, face to face, and virtually.
- Performs configuration for sensitive, complex groups, or when business needs dictate.
- Performs complex analysis and identifies solutions to resolve specific business issues.
- Prepares and delivers reports and recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential problems.
- Identifies unit training needs and develops and delivers training on an individual or group basis.
- Provides back up supervisory support as needed.
- Assists Coordinators in solving problems. Provides ongoing technical support to the unit and acts as a liaison with other departments.
- Coordinates new group set up for complex accounts. Ensures accuracy of group application, rates, benefits, billing arrangements, assigns a Membership Accounting Specialist, and creates the first billing statement.
- Tracks and monitors all components of the new business set up to ensure turnaround times are met.
- Performs quality control processes to ensure accurate set up of new accounts.
- Reports new business turnaround and quality components to affected areas on a regular basis.
- Facilitates meetings regarding business set up, with appropriate departments.
- Assists in updating unit policies and procedures.
- Handles special projects and assignments as determined by Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions & Contact with Others- Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard work, constant sitting, and phone work. Must be able to navigate multiple screens. Work in excess of 37.5 hours per week, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.
- Internally with Sales & Service, Membership Accounting, Underwriting, Contracts, Accounting, Pharmacy, Claims and Customer Service. Externally with group administrators, agents, and consultants.
