We are currently accepting applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED  General Maintenance Mechanic for the Morgan City, LA and surrounding areas.  Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

• Job Scope:
• Work on equipment as needed
• Required Skills:

o    Usage of small equipment like skid steer knowledge 

o    Knowledge of general or advanced mechanical skills 

o    Working independently while plant is running 

o    Knowledge of welding, cutting with torches, electric hand tools and general metal works is a major plus. 

o    Not scared of long houred manual labor from time to time 

o    Willing to work long hours necessary 

o    Uses their own reliable transportation to and from work 

o    Willing to be on call if necessary on weekends 

o    Knowledge of general asphalt works is a major plus 

o    Not afraid to speak up when they see something that doesn’t look right no matter the answer.  

o    ABOVE ALL SAFETY ORIENTED AT ALL TIMES 

• Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Greasing and general checks of industrial parts
• Preventative maintenance for further runnings
• Using best judgement to identify potential issues with any aspect of the plant
• Making said issues known to immediate supervisor and assisting
• Sticking to pre determined list and insuring all checklist daily are completed
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
• Must have good endurance
• Will be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform task
• Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• Documents Required:
• Driver's License/Identification Card
• Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• Must be able to provide own PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)
• Pay:
• Depends on Experience
• Weekly Pay
• Pay schedule: Monday - Sunday
• Schedule:
• Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)
• 10-12 hour days (with weather permitting)
• Duration of Job: Temp to hire
