Position Overview: 


We are seeking a Repair and Maintenance Technician III to join our dynamic team at our Byron, Georgia facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and executing maintenance schedules. Collaborates with other team members ensuring smooth facility and machinery operations.

The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs the property and equipment. Performs and provides assistance in the installation, adjustment, maintenance, part replacement, and repair of tools, equipment, machines, and buildings. Executes various projects while creating minimal interference with production departments and processes.

Responsibilities & Duties:

•    Follow all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
•    Perform and document preventative maintenance to ensure equipment uptime.
•    Communicate with contractors and internal teams about equipment status and repairs.
•    Handle minor building repairs (plumbing, lighting, painting, etc.).
•    Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repairs.
•    Move tools, parts, and supplies as needed.
•    Connect or disconnect wiring, piping, and tubing using tools.
•    Build and maintain physical structures using hand or power tools.
•    Install or replace machinery, equipment, and parts.
•    Identify and report opportunities for equipment or facility improvements.
•    Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
•    Minimize disruption to production during maintenance tasks.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:


•    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a trade apprenticeship or technical training is preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience in facility maintenance, with proficiency in multiple technical competencies relevant to the role.
Skills:
•    Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems.
•    Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
•    Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) for tracking and documenting work.
•    Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
•    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and environments both hot and cold.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
