Description

Client Services and Support:

·       Act as a physical point of contact for lab clients, addressing equipment needs, collaborative inquiries, and environmental concerns.

·       Onboard new lab clients, including issuing badges, parking passes, and licenses.

·       Facilitate lab tours for BioSTL events and Cortex district entities.

Lab Equipment and Space Management:

·       Maintain lab equipment organization, functionality, and calibration.

·       Research, price, and install new equipment as needed.

·       Prepare lab spaces for onboarding or client transitions, including cleaning and equipment setup.

·       Coordinate and schedule preventative maintenance for equipment under service contracts.

Procurement and Inventory:

·       Place orders for lab supplies and equipment parts.

·       Manage shared lab gas procurement and invoice coordination.

·       Maintain on- and off-site storage inventory with accurate tracking of availability.

Vendor Relations:

·       Serve as the contact for vendor-requested events such as table shows, lunch-and-learns, and meet-and-greet sessions.

·       Manage vendor invoices and obtain requested accounts payable documentation.

·       Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, local start-ups, and Cortex district companies.

Operational Excellence:

·       Monitor lab and office supply inventory, notifying BioGenerator of needs.

·       Create and manage work orders with building management.

·       Ensure accurate space utilization tracking using billing spreadsheets, Salesforce, and Maptician software.

Lab Safety and Compliance:

·       Develop a standardized lab safety onboarding program.

·       Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain First-Aid/AED certifications.

·       Address waste disposal and lab safety inquiries.

Research Collaboration:

·       Maintain an understanding of client companies' research projects and liaise with them regarding equipment needs.

·       Assist with short-term scientific setup requests for BG co-founded companies.

Qualifications

·       Experience in lab operations management or a related field.

·       Strong communication and organizational skills.

·       Knowledge of scientific equipment and maintenance processes.

·       Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

·       Familiarity with OSHA standards and lab safety protocols.
