Position Overview: The Outside Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within the Machine Safeguarding and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) business segments. This individual will work closely with prospective clients to sell safeguarding services, products, and programs while also managing and cultivating new leads. The role will focus on generating demand through identifying new opportunities and developing and fostering customer relationships. We offer competitive wages and commission. This position may qualify for one month salary sign on bonus and may be awarded up to 2% end of year bonus based on business goals. Key Responsibilities:
Drive sales for the Machine Safeguarding and LOTO businesses, including:
Safeguarding: Training, Assessments, Safeguarding Projects, Transactional Product Sales
LOTO: Training, GAP Analysis, Procedure Creation, Program Development, Software, TransactionalProduct Sales
📈Generate and nurture new business leads while managing leads distributed from Rockford Systems.
💻Create, update and maintain sales opportunities within the Rockford CRM.
📅Achieve and exceed sales milestones, contributing to growth in safeguarding and LOTO business lines.
🤝Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business development.
📑Provide sales reporting and regular updates on progress and achievements.
📱Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer commitments are met.
😎Ensure all processes are followed from lead generation through to closing the sale.Commission Program:
Commission is paid on all sold products and services within the Machine Safeguarding and LOTO business in addition to a competitive base salary.
Safeguarding: Includes Training, Assessments, Safeguarding Projects, Transactional Product Sales.
LOTO: Includes Training, GAP Analysis, Procedure Creation, Program Development, Software,Transactional Product Sales.
Commission is earned on sales generated by the salesperson, as well as leads distributed from Rockford Systems.Qualifications:
Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in industrial safety products, safety services, industrial automation, or related industries.
Strong understanding of sales processes, including lead generation, closing, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of Machine Safeguarding and LOTO products/services is a plus but not required.
Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities.Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel for customer meetings and plant visits. (approximately 50%-75% travel).
