Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly organized Periodontal Treatment Coordinator who will also support our front desk operations. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in a patient-focused environment and enjoys both clinical coordination and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate has experience in dental or periodontal practices and a strong understanding of treatment planning, patient communication, and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
Treatment Coordination (Primary Role)

Educate patients on periodontal treatment plans, procedures, and post-operative care.

Present treatment plans and financial estimates clearly and professionally.

Schedule and coordinate periodontal procedures in line with the doctor’s recommendations and patient availability.

Act as a liaison between the doctor and patient, ensuring patients fully understand their treatment and are comfortable moving forward.

Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorizations related to treatment.

Follow up with patients regarding pending treatment and re-care appointments.
Front Desk Support (Secondary Role)

Greet patients warmly, check them in/out, and maintain a friendly and professional front desk atmosphere.

Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.

Verify insurance benefits and enter patient data into practice management software.

Collect payments and manage patient account balances.

Handle patient inquiries and resolve minor concerns or route them to appropriate staff.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental or periodontal office.

Knowledge of dental/periodontal terminology and treatment protocols.

Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental) and Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with dental insurance billing and coding.

Familiarity with periodontal charting and procedures.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
