Job Summary:

We are seeking a personable, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our periodontic practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering a welcoming and professional experience while managing the daily administrative operations of the office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process

  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and schedule/reschedule appointments

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments

  • Collect and process payments, co-pays, and account balances

  • Maintain and update patient records and documentation in practice management software

  • Communicate treatment plans, financial arrangements, and follow-up requirements to patients

  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow and efficient scheduling

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxing, scanning, and filing

  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area

  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1+ year of experience in dental or medical front office preferred (periodontic or specialty practice a plus)

  • Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance verification procedures

  • Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to patient care


Work Environment:
