SUMMARY: We are seeking a creative and trend-savvy Social Video Content Creator to concept, produce, and edit engaging short-form content for UP Entertainment’s streaming services (UP Faith & Family, GaitherTV+, aspireTV+) and linear brands (UPtv, aspireTV, Ovation). This position is ideal for a digital storyteller who lives at the intersection of creative development, social media trends, and video editing. The Social Media Video Producer will craft platform-optimized videos that captivate audiences and spark community engagement—whether filming original content, collaborating with talent, or creatively repurposing existing show or movie footage. WHO YOU ARE
You are a creative and detail-oriented content creator who excels at producing engaging, high-quality videos for social and digital platforms. You excel at developing concepts informed by social trends and platform best practices and can bring those concepts to life through shooting and editing. You’re a natural collaborator who works well across teams and with external partners, balancing creativity with efficiency and thriving in a fast-paced environment. You are dedicated to enhancing audience engagement and fostering community growth, and your ability to optimize video content ensures that brand narratives resonate deeply across digital channels, making you an ideal fit for our team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation and Editing
- Develop original, trend-driven creative concepts tailored to social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and X.
- Capture self-shot video on location or in the office using iPhone or company-provided camera equipment.
- Collaborate with talent, production teams, and influencers to create compelling social-first content.
- Edit short-form video for social and digital platforms using tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Repurpose existing programming footage, behind-the-scenes material, and partner content into engaging social video.
- Ensure all content aligns with platform-specific best practices, brand voice, and visual standards.
Content Strategy & Performance:
- Stay up to date on emerging social media trends, platform algorithms, and creative best practices.
- Present creative concepts and content recommendations based on trend research and audience insights.
- Optimize video for platform performance, engagement, search, and discoverability.
- Monitor content performance through analytics tools, adjusting strategies to improve reach and engagement.
Collaboration & Project Management
- Partner with digital marketing, brand, programming, and creative services teams to develop and execute content strategies.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including production, streaming, PR, and legal.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining creative quality.
- Archive produced content and maintain organized project files.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in Film/Video, Design, Multi-media Journalism, Communications, or related media-focused fields highly preferred.
· 5+ years of experience in digital content creation, video editing, and publishing preferably within fast-paced digital media, entertainment, or related industries.
· Demonstrated ability to create high-performing digital content with a portfolio of published work.
SKILLS
- Oral & Written Communications: Exceptional written, and oral communication skills. Communicates well one on one, in small groups and larger presentations, including external public speaking. Writes clear, precise, well-organized documents using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and wording
- Judgment and Decision Making: Consistent logic, rationality, and objectivity in decision-making. Neither indecisive nor hip-shooter. Generates sensible, realistic, practical solutions to problems. Exhibits a high level of integrity, earning the trust of coworkers and putting organization and team above self-interests

TECHNICAL SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, in addition to the skills noted above an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and the following:
- Expertise in Premiere Pro and After Effects, and proficiency in company-approved AI tools for content editing.
- Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to create narratives tailored to digital audiences.
- Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) such as Brandfolder.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for content discoverability.
- Experience with digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Looker, HubSpot, and Sprout.
- Experience with static creative asset editing and graphics editing tools is beneficial.
