IT Engineer - Network Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator Engineer to join our team in Virginia. This role focuses on managing and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure to ensure security, performance, and reliability.

Job Requirements:

  • Experienced in managing Palo Alto firewalls (5+ years)
  • Knowledgeable in conversion of layer 4 rules to layer 7 using userID and appID
  • Understanding of creating custom appID's
  • Has managed Palo Alto infrastructure (upgrades, patches, configurations)
  • Preferred – Experienced in managing Checkpoint firewalls in an IaaS environment
  • Preferred – Deployed Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment
  • Preferred – Ability to leverage python scripts to automate tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Expertise in networking protocols and devices
  2. Proficiency in firewalls, routers, and VPNs
  3. Experience with network monitoring tools
