Lean Portfolio & Value Manager
Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) experience is required for consideration.
Our client is seeking an Enterprise Portfolio & Value Manager to lead Lean Portfolio Management for a strategic enterprise portfolio during an agile transformation. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, agile champion with proven experience launching value streams and enabling enterprise agility through lean governance, funding, and portfolio operations.
Responsibilities

Launch and manage value stream(s) within the enterprise portfolio.

Establish and oversee frameworks for intake, prioritization, and decision-making to maximize value delivery.

Manage the portfolio Kanban, ensuring stop/pivot/persevere governance decisions are made to align with business priorities.

Monitor lean budgeting guardrails to guide portfolio funding decisions.

Develop and maintain portfolio roadmaps for planned work.

Oversee reporting of metrics, objectives, and key results, advocating for value-based measures.

Partner with executives to align portfolio decisions with strategic objectives.

Collaborate with Agile Coaches to identify and close gaps in lean portfolio management practices.

Coordinate portfolio adjustments in response to strategic changes.

Serve as the main contact for strategic goal owners and initiative leaders.

Build strong relationships with business lines, stakeholders, leadership, and vendors.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Extensive experience managing complex, cross-organizational programs.

Advanced knowledge of SAFe Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).

Expertise in project management best practices: change management, risk management, executive reporting, and data aggregation.

Strong skills in tracking/monitoring progress, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and in team environments.

Significant experience collaborating with executives, stakeholders, and vendors.

Advanced consultative, facilitation, and negotiation skills to drive consensus and outcomes.

Skilled in delivering presentations to both virtual and in-person audiences.

Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience launching value streams and implementing enterprise-level LPM.
