POSITION DESCRIPTION
Join a team of bright, motivated professionals using agile methodologies to design, build, and maintain business solutions with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). As a member of the Application and Data Services -Business Applications and Data Services (ADS-BADS) you will focus on the Payroll modules of Oracle EBS, supporting development, customization, integrations, and maintenance.
This work plays a critical role in supporting key institutional initiatives such as the SECURE Act and the NEEC program, ensuring payroll systems are reliable, accurate, and compliant with evolving requirements. The role is highly technical while also requiring strong collaboration and communication skills to work directly with functional customers and technical peers.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Typically, 8+ years of experience in software development with at least 5 years focused on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) OTL and Payroll modules.
- Expert-level knowledge of Oracle EBS Payroll and OTL (Oracle Time & Labor) modules, including configuration, customization, and extensions.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, BI
- Proven ability to design and implement complex customizations, integrations, and conversions for OTL/Payroll.
- Experience with RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) development.
- Solid understanding of payroll processing rules, compliance (SECURE Act), and time/labor business processes (NEEC).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong background in agile software development methodologies and full SDLC delivery.
- Ability to embed QA practices within development and deployment workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll/timekeeping technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working directly with functional stakeholders and end users at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound technical judgment.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of LANL Culture, Systems and Payroll processes.
- Experience supporting, integrating, and extending Cloud applications.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of the DevSecOps culture and principles and experience CI/CD development.
LOCATION
- The work location for this position has the potential for remote work. Remote work is defined as working offsite that is greater than 2 hours of the Laboratory location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
