JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Investor Relations Analyst plays a critical role in shaping BKV’s relationship with the investment community, enhancing transparency, and supporting strategic decision-making. This position will leverage a deep understanding of the energy sector, financial markets, and investor expectations to help effectively communicate the company’s strategy, financial performance, and growth prospects.

This role is a seasoned professional who applies advanced job knowledge to achieve operational goals. Works independently with limited supervision. May manage projects and processes to improve efficiency. Problems faced are typically difficult and often complex. Demonstrates integrity, accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards, values and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Typical job responsibilities of the Senior Investor Relations Analyst include:

Investor Communications:

  • Support the development of quarterly earnings materials, including earnings releases, conference call scripts, presentations, and Q&A prep.
  • Assist in drafting and refining investor-facing communications, such as investor presentations, fact sheets, and the annual report, ensuring consistency and alignment with corporate strategy and messaging.
  • Analyze and summarize key themes from investor and analyst feedback; prepare insights for senior management and the board of directors.

Financial and Market Analysis:

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis of the company’s performance, industry trends, competitor benchmarking, and market sentiment.
  • Monitor analyst models, consensus estimates, target prices, and ratings, providing summaries and variance explanations to management.
  • Track industry developments, regulatory changes, and commodity price trends (natural gas, LNG, etc.) that could impact investor sentiment and the company’s strategy.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Support the planning and execution of investor events, including investor days, earnings calls, roadshows, and conferences (both in-person and virtual).
  • Assist in managing relationships with equity analysts, institutional investors, and ESG rating agencies, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Maintain the investor relations website and ensure all public disclosures and filings are accessible and compliant with regulatory requirements.

ESG and Sustainability:

  • Collaborate with sustainability and ESG teams to integrate key ESG messaging into investor materials.
  • Track ESG trends and investor expectations, supporting the company’s efforts to communicate its role in energy transition and responsible natural gas production.
  • Compliance and Governance:
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, including Regulation FD and other disclosure requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of public filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q, proxy statements), as they relate to investor communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements; fluency with Power and CCUS a plus.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and capital markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling. Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, and ESG databases is a plus.
  • Python, VBA, or other coding experience a plus.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in investor relations, sell- or buy-side equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field within the energy sector (natural gas, oil & gas, power, utilities, renewables, etc.).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is located at BKV headquarters in Denver, CO.
  • Indoor working environment that requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and operate standard office equipment.
  • May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others.
  • Up to 20% of travel will be required.
