We are now accepting resumes/applications for an Plumber Helpers for the Houma, LA and surrounding area.  Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

  • Job Scope:
    • Assemble, install, maintain, repair, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
    • Hotel fixture removal and replacement with some rerough-in required
  • Position Requirements:
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing
    • Must be able to pass drug screen
    • Must have own PPE (hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
  • Required Skills:
    • Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
    • Reliable and self-motivated
    • Physical dexterity.
    • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
    • Must be able to work independently efficiently
  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for assisting plumber
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
    • Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
    • Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
    • Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
    • Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
    • Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
      • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
      • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
      • Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
    • Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
      • Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
      • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
      • Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
      • Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift objects up to 60 LBS
    • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
    • Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
      • Ability to work in cramped and/or confined spaces when required
      • Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
      • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

  • Schedule:
    • Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
