Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our preconstruction team and lead the estimating process for large-scale general construction projects. This role will be instrumental in developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive cost proposals that support Forza’s continued success in delivering projects ranging in value. Key Responsibilities

· Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates for large-scale, ground-up and complex renovation projects.

· Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.

· Define and assign divisions of responsibility across Forza’s estimating team, ensuring clear accountability and effective coordination within the preconstruction group.

· Manage subcontractor and vendor outreach, solicit bids, and conduct scope reviews across all trade divisions.

· Develop conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, and final proposals aligned with client goals and project schedules.

· Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, executives, and clients to ensure scope and cost alignment.

· Leverage Forza’s internal self-perform expertise to validate market pricing and strengthen estimate accuracy.

· Maintain and expand cost databases, benchmarks, and historical records to drive estimating accuracy.

· Provide mentorship and leadership to junior estimators and support staff.

· Present estimates and recommendations to clients and leadership with clarity and professionalism.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 8+ years of progressive estimating experience with a focus on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.

· Strong knowledge of construction means and methods across all major trades.

· Proficiency with estimating software (ProEst, etc.) and Microsoft 365; scheduling knowledge (Primavera) preferred.

· Track record of preparing estimates for projects exceeding $25M.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.

· Leadership ability to guide and develop junior estimators.
