Position Overview
As the Medical Practice Supervisor, you'll lead the daily operations of our clinic, creating an environment where exceptional patient care thrives. You'll serve as the cornerstone of our healthcare team, ensuring seamless coordination between medical and administrative functions while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted resource for staff on clinic operations, quality initiatives, patient experience enhancement, and staff engagement strategies
- Foster collaborative relationships between medical providers and administrative personnel to create a unified healthcare team
- Coordinate all clinic activities while interpreting and implementing clinical and administrative policies to ensure consistent, high-quality care
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff members to reach their full potential, identifying growth opportunities and creating personalized development plans
- Design and maintain efficient clinic scheduling systems that optimize provider time and patient access
- Take a proactive approach to patient satisfaction by directly addressing concerns and implementing solutions that enhance the patient experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for providers and staff seeking guidance on daily clinical operations
- Implement and monitor safety and infection control protocols to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in healthcare information technology and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Manage equipment maintenance and replacement while ensuring adequate supply levels to support uninterrupted patient care
- Continually analyze clinical workflows and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and patient care
- Work independently with strong initiative while maintaining alignment with organizational goals
- Oversee patient-facing operations including registration, eligibility verification, appointment scheduling, and check-in/check-out processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare-related experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, providers, and staff
- Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
