Longenecker & Associates (L&A) seeks a motivated Project Engineer II, III, and IV to contribute to our mission supporting our work at Los Alamos National Lab in Los Alamos, NM.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Supervises the engineering activity (all disciplines) on a project, or designated portions of a project, for a global business unit. Plans and directs engineering assignments on the project. Demonstrates technical responsibilities for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating these assignments.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Project Engineer II – Position typically requires a BS and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project Engineer III – Position typically requires a BS and 8+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project Engineer IV – Positoin typically requires a BS and 12+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
  • Ability to work onsite.
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),
  • Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active DOE Q clearance.

 

LOCATION

  • The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. .
  • Initial 2 year assignment. Looking for long-term commitment. Possibility of conversion.
  • 4/10 schedule Shift work required.
  • Per-Diem eligible.
  • TA-55 – not all work will be behind the fence in secure areas.
