A private equity–backed field services organization is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead its commercial function during a period of significant growth and transformation. The company delivers comprehensive service solutions to clients across insurance, legal, and government sectors and is investing heavily in its go-to-market strategy, sales infrastructure, and leadership talent to drive scale and profitability.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s go-to-market strategy, building a scalable and high-performing sales organization, and driving profitable revenue growth through both new business acquisition and expansion of existing client relationships.As the VP of Sales, you are responsible for:
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM plan that aligns with the company’s growth objectives, including market expansion, product and service diversification, and client acquisition.
- Sales Model: Implement a highly effective, scalable sales model, including the structure, resources, processes, pipeline management, sales playbooks, tools / technology, compensation plans, etc. This role will need to iterate on sales team structure and processes as additional locations and headcount are integrated through organic growth and acquisitions
- Sales Team Leadership: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, accountable sales organization with a focus on culture, coaching, and measurable outcomes.
- Sales Performance Management: Leverage data, analytics, and CRM tools to proactively manage the pipeline, forecast accurately, and report performance metrics to executive leadership and investors.
- Account Development: Enhance and standardize account management processes in collaboration with operations and service delivery teams to maximize client retention and expansion.
- Growth Strategy: Identify and prioritize new business opportunities in target markets; partner with senior leadership to design strategies that capitalize on them.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, operations, product, and finance teams to align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Resource Management: Develop and manage the commercial budget to ensure optimal allocation of resources and strong ROI.
- External Representation: Support key customer relationships and industry partnerships to advance the company’s market position and reputation.
To be successful in the role, you must possess:
- 10+ years in relevant commercial leadership role(s) with proven success in building and scaling sales organizations at high-growth field service companies
- Experience in mid-market businesses with revenues between $50-200M
- Proven ability to professionalize a sales organization and implement key elements for salesforce effectiveness; segmentation / targeting, prioritization, pipeline management, sales playbooks, sales management, compensation structures, etc.
- Ideal candidate will have experience incorporating new products / services, geographic territories, and customers resulting from acquisitions
- Structured, process- and data-driven approach to building and managing a sales organization
- Executive leadership and team management skills
- Executive presence, exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools
- Results-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ideal candidate will be familiar with a field services business model
- Proven ability to be a strategic thought partner to the board and able to articulate a vision for the function and future growth
- Experience working with a private equity sponsor is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a bonus

Compensation and Location
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, annual incentive, and long-term equity opportunity.
- Role may be remote with regular travel to company headquarters and customer sites.

- $160,000.00 Annually to $160,000.00 Annually
