ABOUT THE ROLE
ExoAnalytic Solutions is seeking a Lead Software Architect to design and guide development of real-time software for interceptors and kill vehicles. This position will lead architecture and integration efforts for high-assurance, flight-critical systems operating in real-time operating system (RTOS) environments.
You’ll define software frameworks, oversee system-level interfaces, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and deterministic software solutions for national defense missions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define software architectures for real-time and embedded systems
 - Lead software design reviews, code quality, and integration strategies
 - Oversee development across multiple RTOS environments (e.g., VxWorks, RTEMS, Integrity)
 - Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test teams to ensure performance and safety
 - Mentor junior engineers and establish software development best practices
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
 - 8+ years of experience in real-time or embedded software development
 - Expertise with RTOS architectures and multi-threaded applications
 - Proven experience developing mission-critical systems for aerospace or defense
 - U.S. citizenship required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance
 - Experience with missile interceptor or kill vehicle flight software
 - Knowledge of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) interfaces and algorithms
 - Experience with DevSecOps, microservice architectures, and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing
 
SALARY RANGE
$115,000 - $200,000+ annually.
