POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead the successful planning and execution of high-impact technical and operational projects that support the Laboratory’s mission. You will define deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements while proactively managing risk, performance, and resource allocation across complex project portfolios. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in DOE project management and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams toward strategic outcomes. Experience leading the Constructability Readiness Organization (CRO), integrating engineering, construction, and project controls to enhance execution readiness and drive performance improvement across the Plutonium Pit Production Project. Oversee complex, multi-disciplinary projects, from planning and execution through closeout, ensuring compliance with DOE 413.3B requirements and alignment with LANL mission objectives. Establish technical and operational requirements and define deliverables to meet programmatic goals. Implement robust project tracking, performance analysis, and corrective action processes to ensure adherence to baselines. Provide technical oversight and contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of project and program policies, procedures, and standards. Conduct management assessments, causal analyses, and performance trending to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Build and sustain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including DOE representatives and senior LANL leadership. Prepare and deliver high-level briefings, reports, and performance communications to all levels of management.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Master’s degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Demonstrated success managing large-scale DOE projects involving nuclear infrastructure, environmental restoration, or 413.3B construction,
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification,
· Control Account Manager (CAM) Level 1 certification,
· DOE Q Clearance,
· Proven ability to manage scope, risk, budget, and schedule across multidisciplinary technical teams,
· Experience developing and implementing comprehensive project controls frameworks,
· Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration and drive organizational readiness,
· Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),
· Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

· Previous experience on DOE sites and programs.
