Salary Range: $65K - $75K

​​​​​​Job Description

The Technical Writer/ Documentation Specialist prepares and/or maintains systems, programming, and operations documentation, including user manuals. Maintains a current internal documentation library. Competent to work on most phases of documentation.

Position Responsibilities:

  •            Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, installation manuals, and system documentation for IT systems and services
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation
  • Ensure all documentation complies with DoD standards, cybersecurity protocols, and contract requirements
  • Collaborate with SMEs, engineers, and project teams to gather source material and validate content
  • Maintain version control and document lifecycle management using approved tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence)
  • Support audits and inspections by providing accurate and up-to-date documentation
  • Facilitate template creation for all teams and customers, and maintain a consistent document formatting guide for internal and customer-facing documentation

 Qualifications:

  •          Active Secret Clearance
  •          Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience.
  •          Associate’s degree and at least 7-yrs experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  •          Active DoD Secret (or above) Security Clearance.
