The Opportunity

We are seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong background in forensic engineering, environmental consulting, and large-loss or catastrophic property claims. This position represents an exciting opportunity to drive strategic growth initiatives and cultivate partnerships across the U.S. and London markets.

The ideal candidate is an experienced relationship-builder with established connections to risk managers, insurance brokers, and senior adjusters, capable of aligning PVEDI's technical expertise with the needs of complex loss clients.


Role and Responsibilities

Strategic & Client-Facing Responsibilities

  • Lead business development and client relationship initiatives for forensic engineering and environmental consulting services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners in the insurance and large-loss sectors.
  • Coordinate proposal development, presentations, and client stewardship activities.
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance for all deliverables and client interactions.
  • Manage client contracts, invoicing, audits, and follow-up to ensure seamless service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities across PVEDI's multidisciplinary service lines.
  • Act as the primary client contact, providing a high level of responsiveness and professionalism.

Leadership & Team Collaboration

  • Partner with internal engineering, forensics, and environmental teams to align business strategies and project execution.
  • Mentor and guide staff on client communication and project deliverables best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of business development procedures and metrics for growth and retention.

Qualifications for Success

Education & Licensing

  • Associate's degree
  • Professional certifications such as CPCU, AIC, or ARM strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in account management or client relations.
  • Proven success in business development or account leadership roles within forensic engineering, insurance, or environmental consulting sectors.
  • Prior experience managing large or national programs strongly preferred.
