Location:  Hybrid (Virtual and in-person meetings)

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 plus competitive benefits package

THE ROLE
Camp Coleman, a Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) camp, offers magical summers and year-round experiences where young people from all backgrounds—including Campers of Color, LGBTQ+ campers, campers with disabilities, and others from underrepresented communities—can grow, connect, and thrive. As Marketing & Development Associate, you’ll shape creative marketing campaigns, engage families and alumni, support fundraising initiatives, and contribute to meaningful programs. This role blends creativity, communications, and development while collaborating with a fun, mission-driven team dedicated to expanding Camp Coleman’s impact and fostering inclusive, transformative experiences.


WHAT YOU WILL DO
MARKETING & COMMUNICATION 
•    Craft and execute creative marketing campaigns to attract campers, staff, and families.
•    Manage social media, email newsletters, and website content that brings Camp Coleman’s story to life.
•    Develop engaging brochures, videos, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
•    Track engagement metrics and share insights to guide marketing strategy.
•    Collaborate with camp and organizational teams to keep messaging consistent and aligned with development goals.
•    Mentor seasonal social media intern(s) and coordinate with the summer media team on special projects.
DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING
•    Build meaningful connections with donors, alumni, and supporters through thoughtful communications and stewardship.
•    Support campaigns including annual giving, special appeals, and capital initiatives.
•    Keep donor and prospect records organized in our CRM and generate reports to measure impact.
•    Assist with donor events and outreach that help our community grow.
PROGRAM & GENERAL SUPPORT
•    Help recruit and retain campers and program participants, including coordinating tours and facilitating recruitment visits.
•    Provide exceptional customer service to families, campers, and program participants, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience.
•    Participate in planning and running camp programs and retreats, both summer and off-season.
•    Bring energy and creativity to new initiatives or projects that enhance camp operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
•    This role is not residential at camp during the summer, but it does require evening and weekly travel throughout the year to support recruitment, engagement, and donor relations, as well as camp visits during the summer.
•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
•    1–3 years of experience in marketing, development, communications, or related roles (nonprofit experience preferred).
•    Experience in recruitment, enrollment, or alumni engagement preferred. 
•    Experience working in camp, educational, or youth development programs preferred.
