Position Overview
As a Technical Product Owner, you'll be the vital bridge between business vision and technical execution, orchestrating the development of cutting-edge digital solutions. This dynamic role combines deep technical expertise with strategic product management to deliver exceptional user experiences that drive business growth. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where your ability to navigate complex technical landscapes while maintaining a clear product vision will directly impact our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Vision and Strategy: Partner with key stakeholders to craft and articulate a compelling product vision and roadmap that aligns with organizational objectives and anticipates customer needs.
- Backlog Management: Curate, prioritize, and refine the product backlog with precision, ensuring user stories and technical requirements are clearly defined, actionable, and strategically aligned.
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to transform business requirements into elegant technical solutions, providing expert guidance and making strategic trade-off decisions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the authoritative voice for product decisions, fostering productive dialogue among business, design, and technical teams to drive consensus.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the essential connector between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding and alignment toward common goals.
- Release Planning: Orchestrate release schedules, establish meaningful sprint goals, and ensure timely delivery of valuable product increments.
- Quality Assurance: Define comprehensive acceptance criteria, participate actively in testing, and validate that deliverables meet or exceed defined requirements and quality standards.
- Market and User Research: Collect and analyze insights from users, stakeholders, and market trends to inform continuous product evolution and innovation.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies, addressing obstacles before they impact product delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar role within an agile software development environment.
- Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in software development or architecture.
- Demonstrated success translating business requirements into technical solutions and delivering impactful products.
- Exceptional coordination skills with experience bringing together multiple teams and disciplines toward a common goal.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership abilities that inspire collaboration.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Analytical mindset with proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to effectively navigate both business and technical domains, building consensus and driving meaningful action.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern software architectures.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and design thinking methodologies.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
