Senior SQL Server Applications Developer

Join our client's dynamic team as a Senior SQL Server Applications Developer where you'll leverage your database expertise to create innovative solutions that drive business success. We're seeking a talented professional who can transform complex requirements into elegant, high-performing database applications. 

Onsite: This role is 5 days per week on site in the client's Washington, DC offices.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated database applications that power mission-critical systems
  • Craft, analyze, and optimize SQL queries and scripts to ensure maximum efficiency and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver database solutions that meet evolving business needs
  • Implement robust deployment procedures and release management practices for seamless database changes
  • Proactively monitor and enhance database performance, security, and reliability
  • Partner with development teams to optimize database design and query performance
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to end users
  • Apply your production environment experience to maintain stable, secure database systems

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T-SQL programming capabilities
  • Proven expertise in database design, development, query optimization, and performance tuning
  • Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Strong knowledge of database security principles and implementation
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is highly valued
  • Familiarity with C#/.NET and Visual Studio is a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • U.S. citizenship
