Responsibilities:

  • Serve as McKissack’s on-site Owner’s Representative for assigned DISD capital projects.
  • Manage projects through all phases including planning, design, procurement, construction, closeout, and occupancy.
  • Develop, review, and monitor project schedules; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review budgets, cost estimates, change orders, and pay applications to ensure fiscal control and bond compliance.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and testing agencies to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate project meetings; document decisions, track action items, and communicate status to DISD and McKissack leadership.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation for completeness and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Support quality assurance and quality control efforts throughout design and construction.
  • Coordinate with DISD departments including Facilities, Operations, Safety, IT, and campus leadership.
  • Prepare clear and accurate project reports, logs, and documentation using DISD-approved systems.
  • Support community engagement efforts and respond to stakeholder inquiries as required.
  • Ensure compliance with DISD policies, Texas public procurement regulations, and McKissack PMF standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience managing capital construction projects, preferably within K–12, municipal, or public-sector environments.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as an Owner’s Representative or PM/CM.
  • Certification: PMP, CCM, or equivalent preferred but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in active or occupied facilities.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Unifier, e-Builder, or similar systems).
  • Ability to work on-site at DISD campuses and travel throughout the DFW metroplex as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Compensation:

Salary range: $100,000 - $110,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, travel requirements)
