Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Combo Welder/Fitter to join our team. This role is responsible for fitting, welding, and fabricating metal components using multiple welding processes. The ideal candidate can read and interpret blueprints, perform accurate layouts, and produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding using multiple processes including SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG)

• Fit and fabricate structural steel, pipe, and miscellaneous metal components

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and specifications

• Measure, cut, tack, and assemble materials to precise tolerances

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys as required

• Perform pipe fitting and welding in various positions (1G–6G as required)

• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely

• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and jobsite procedures

• Work in shop and field environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas

• Assist with equipment maintenance and housekeeping of work areas

Qualifications

• Minimum [X] years experience as a Combo Welder/Fitter

• Proficiency in multiple welding processes (Stick, TIG, MIG)

• Ability to pass welding tests and certifications as required

• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills

• Knowledge of welding codes (AWS, ASME preferred)

• Experience with pipe and structural welding

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods

• Willingness to work outdoors, in industrial environments, and in varying weather conditions

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Welding Certification

• NCCER Welding Certification

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
