What You’ll Do:
We are looking for an experienced and progressive Director of IT Infrastructure to join the Omni Cable Team. The Director of IT Infrastructure will be responsible for recommending and planning IT initiatives that support and meet company objectives. Key role responsibility will be partnering with Management to align IT offerings to the company’s overall strategic vision. The right candidate will be well versed in multiple IT platforms, knowledgeable in IT infrastructure consisting of client services, and security and will be prepared to serve as a Leader to the team as well as be prepared and willing to perform tactical, day-to-day tasks as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Direct the implementation and execution of new / upgraded information systems via well-defined plans including (but not limited to) procedures, deadlines, and accountability.- Provide IT Infrastructure expertise to the organization, identifying opportunities that serve the needs of the organization and can measurably drive business outcomes through the lens of data and KPI’s.
- Identify and standardize the use of IT Infrastructure in support of the enterprise's business strategy. This includes leveraging industry best practices and managing partner relationships.
- Manage end to end life cycle for cloud hosted and on-premises infrastructure as well as migration of enterprise workloads.
- Provide cloud domain expertise, identifying standards and driving standardization.
- Use configuration management, orchestration, and management tools to ensure the IT operations environments meet operational and security standards.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to infrastructure services.
- Lead and prioritize IT initiatives and coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future systems as well as associated operational functions.
- Develop proactive operating estimates and long-range forecasts for business planning purposes involving software, hardware, staffing levels, service levels, and expenditures for area(s) of responsibility including cost estimates and business case updates.
- Be accountable for all production systems and environments, including responsibility for the overall enterprise-wide effectiveness and efficiency of data center (on-premises and cloud) technology systems and networks to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and reliability (internal and external.)
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining performance of any application issues in accordance with agreed SLA.
- Lead IT Infrastructure staff to ensure deadlines, risks, constraints, resources, tasks, priorities, and interfaces are understood and communicated.
- Define and document processes for system-level changes as well as the associated review process.
- Negotiate vendor agreements from all elements related to service and IT needs, including hardware, bandwidth, co-location facilities, and third-party software vendors.
- Assess and manage IT risk, conduct regular vulnerability and independent risk assessments
Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans meet acceptable business risk levels Responsible for hiring and maintaining a diverse IT Team; Continuously lead and develop the team to maximize potential and foster career growth within the department. - Performs salary administration and conducts interviews and makes recommendations for new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in the IT field
- Minimum 3 years in a Leadership role with direct reports
- ITIL certification preferred
- Must have demonstrated understanding of performance management, business consulting, project management and applicable technology.
- Experience in infrastructure and client services, delivery of med-large scale projects/programs. Experience required in multiple technical platforms, including but not limited to those supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Must have worked within a multi-disciplined, cross-functional technical organization with matrixed reporting relationship.
- Experience in distribution industry is a significant plus.
- Experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Management and Warehouse systems preferred.
