Girl Experience Outreach Director

The Girl Experience Outreach Director provides for development and implementation of Council coordinated troops, sites and events through community-based opportunities to achieve the Council’s strategies, goals and objectives. This position makes data driven decisions about the effectiveness of outreach sites, supports the work of Mission Delivery Teams as appropriate and initiates and maintains collaborations with key community partners to ensure the success of outreach programs. 

The Girl Experience Outreach Director will be responsible to recruit, place, orient, train, and supervise Girl Experience Outreach Managers in consultation with direct supervisor; provide direction, support, and training to develop well-motivated staff teams to accomplish the Council goals and objectives; promote team building through effective communications, targeted training and staff development opportunities; develop strategies and provide leadership, direction and support to special assignments in order to reach Council goals and objectives;  develop and manage budgets; manage all aspects of risk management within assigned teams; monitor and participate as required in grant driven and donor restricted programs to ensure quality content, delivery, budgetary development and cost center management, reporting and evaluation;  oversee collaboration with other functional areas to ensure comprehensive strategies to community cultivation are executed with appropriate balance among outreach-based and volunteer-led programs, and assist in transitioning girls from Outreach Programs into other pathways and opportunities; support the development and implementation of council plans to evaluate girl outcomes and customer satisfaction and use the findings for continuous improvement in delivery of the GSLE and customer experience; oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing all membership registrations from Outreach sites; develop, implement and evaluate strategies to strengthen delivery of program opportunities at the community, region and Council-wide levels;  develop and implement strategies to engage adult volunteers to support Community Outreach programs, promote and attend Community, Region and Council-wide events and meetings as assigned; compile data and generate reports for assigned sites and programs;.partner with staff, volunteers and girls across the council to find, leverage, and share stories about how Girl Scouting changes girls’ lives – and how girls change the world. 

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
Flexibility: Ability to work from home, as needed, to include high speed home internet access, accessibility to a non-distracting and uninterrupted space with adequate lighting and ergonomically adequate work-space.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
License/Certification:  Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of insurance.
