Compensation:         $120,000 to $160,000            
We will determine salary based on skills and experience in relation to the function of the role, as well as equity to any other employees in the same or similar role.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Fleet Standardization:
    • Minimum specifications of equipment per use case
    • Maximum specifications of equipment per use case
    • Standardize Fleet Vendors and Services
    • Fleet Forecasting

a) Forecast Growth needs
b) Create a “Fleet Life Cycle Plan”
  • Fleet Procurement
      1. Attain Regional and National deals and forecasts to be struck with all major vendors
      2. Management of the capex forecasts, requisitions, and approvals
  • Drive Adoption of Capex Request Processes
  • Manage matrixed team of field fleet professionals
  • Implement equipment sharing program between BU’s
  • Ensure DOT and other compliance are in place
  • Liaison with Safety Team to implement equipment safety check program
  • Lead Digitize of paper and pen processes for integration to both safety and Fleet SW
  • Develop training program for buckets and diggers
  • Implementation of the fleet management software
  1. Drive field adoption of software
  2. Create user specific dashboards and metrics to proactively manage and report all aspects of fleet and equipment


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Accustomed to working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Deadline driven, self-motivated, and technically savvy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Superior time management skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail.   
  • Ability to be flexible, take direction with ease, including changes to schedule and workflow priorities.  
  • Critical thinking skills: make assessments and provide solutions to problems.
  • Superior customer service. Dedication to providing customers “White Glove Service”.

  • Working knowledge and application of practices, standards, procedures, and tools used in the automotive and truck maintenance industry. 
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions involved in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and related equipment. 
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) fleet requirements. 
  • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license (CDL preferred). 
  • ASE certification (preferred). 

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Prior experience having managed and/or directed a fleet maintenance operation (work responsibilities/ workflows) and personnel (preferred). ​​​​​​ ​​​​​
  • 5 years’ experience managing technicians (preferred). 
  • 10 years’ experience in the maintenance, repair and inspection of vehicles and equipment (fleet vehicles) (preferred). 
  • Some Utilities experience
