POSITION: Chief People Officer

LOCATION: Hybrid – Rome, Albany, or NYC

SUMMARY: Our client, a leading nonprofit technology consulting organization is seeking a Deputy Chief People Officer to lead their people function during a transformational and rapid growth time for their company. This is an ideal position for an up and coming or current strategic Deputy Chief People Officer, who has demonstrated success implementing and leading the people function of an organization. The Deputy Chief People Officer will support and champion the organization’s vision and position the company as an employer of choice.

The DCPO will serve as a thought partner to the Leadership Team and will work in close partnership with both the leadership and HR Centers of Excellence teams to develop and implement a people-centric organization that:

  • Attracts essential talent through a strong recruitment strategy
  • Creates impactful interview and onboarding experience
  • Ensures people are highly engaged in the mission and culture of the organization
  • Develops strong and trusting internal partnerships within the HR team as well as the internal customers the department serves
  • Is prepared for the continued growth of the organization

 

The DCPO is responsible for providing guidance and consultative services in all areas of Human Resources including leadership, coaching, employee engagement and relations, talent recruitment, development and retention, culture, compensation, organizational design and change, organizational and performance management, training and development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a short- and long-term talent strategy and plan that aligns with company’s vision and strategy, resulting in innovative, best practices and policies that will service the full range of human resource needs and help build a high-performing culture of success, accountability, transparency and collaboration.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to all members of the senior leadership team, including the Executive team, to provide insightful, innovative thinking and problem solving on critical human resource issues.
  • Develop relationships with all levels of the organization and become someone who is sought for advice and counsel on talent, cultural, and organizational issues.
  • Lead a high performing team in supporting human resource systems relating to all aspects of talent management; performance management, compensation, talent recruitment, learning & development, engagement, benefits, rewards, policy, and compliance.
  • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate the company’s Core Values and Behaviors and champion them among colleagues.

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ten years of relevant experience preferably in Human Resources.
  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services (preferred).
  • Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification (preferred).
