This growing, dynamic high-tech company headquartered in sunny Central Florida, is seeking a Director, Service Delivery to join our Architecture and PMO team and grow with us. Job Title:  Director, Service Delivery (Hybrid)
Status:  Full-Time/Exempt
Reports to: Sr. Vice President
Location: Orlando, FL

*This is currently a hybrid position with required in office days weekly. Please note schedule is subject to change based on business needs.

Position Summary:
The Director, Service Delivery has overall responsibility for project management both internal and external as well as successful client onboarding across our residential, commercial, and hospitality verticals. With a keen focus on resource accountability, the SD leader will drive consistent, high quality project outcomes. The candidate will partner collaboratively with peers from Outside Plant/Construction, Procurement, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical/Commercial Operations, and Finance, from contract execution through initial invoicing. The role will have direct responsibility for forecasting, scheduling strategy, deliverables adherence, and project completion within scope and budget.

Job Description:
  • Work with senior leadership to establish business rules, guidelines, and parameters related to completing customer projects, invoicing, cost control and customer satisfaction.
  • Full accountability for managing the project management team to ensure an efficient, timely, and excellent delivery of internal projects.
  • Full accountability for managing the service delivery to ensure an efficient, timely, and excellent activation of services.
  • Utilizes performance management systems to ensure transparent view of project status, activation, and backlog management.
  • Review and fully understand the budgets, schedule and requirements of each project.
  • Create and execute project work plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Identify and acquire resources needed for prosecution of the project(s).
  • Meet with internal and external customers with prepared reports to give progress updates, answer questions, and manage requested changes to project plans.
  • Manage the day-to-day decisions on project delivery and change orders.
  • Communicate requirements and specifications to the project teams.
  • Serve as a key project spoke person for high visibility client kick-off and progress update meetings.
  • Assist with escalations in a time sensitive manner and foster solid customer relations.
  • Ensure white glove performance by our vendors and technical operations teams.
  • Effectively implement all policies, rules, and/or operational changes to reach company objectives.
  • Builds cross functional relationships across Summit to ensure a seamless onboarding process for our customers.
  • Model servant leadership, change management, business ownership, and brand guardianship.
  • Effectively allocate task responsibilities to appropriate staff, utilizing skills and potential appropriately
  • Responsible for hiring, mentoring, evaluating, and disciplinary action if necessary
  • Build a productive team environment focused on successful achievement, teamwork, and excellence.
  • Manage team performance to established Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and other service metrics.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations
  • Previous first-hand experience working with Google Earth KMZ’s and KML’s
  • Keen proficiency in comprehending complex deliverables and creating viable strategies and plans.
  • Minimum 10 years of project management/service delivery experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Understanding of project management best practices and superb cost/expense management ability
  • Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to inspire teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication ability required.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of communication technology and billing systems
  • Must be able to pass criminal background and drug test, have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
