Terra Technologies LLC is a rapidly expanding nationwide engineering and construction company.  Terra Technologies LLC is unique in the fact that it blends civil engineering with utility engineering to provide design support for roadway projects impacting facilities of some of the largest utility companies in the nation.

Job Summary:
Candidate shows the ability to independently evaluate and adapt standard techniques. Project Engineer will apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in a specific practice area. Has the ability to function on multidisciplinary teams. Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work. Receives general direction on key objectives.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Support Project Managers and Directors in new project setup.  Tasks include:
    • New project requests
    • Project setup
    • Project scope and detail gathering
  • Support Project Managers and Directors in project design.  Tasks include:
    • Reviewing project field notes and design redlines.
    • Coordinating with clients and public entities to obtain most current project CAD base files.
    • Utilizing CAD base files to prepare utility permit plans for submittal to public jurisdictions.
    • Quality control of permit plans and design work completed by others.
    • Prepare material reports, quantity take-offs and construction contracts.
  • Support Project Managers and Directors in project permitting.  Tasks include:
    • Research permitting requirements and standards.
    • Permit application technical preparation, application coordination and tracking.
    • Ensure compliance with jurisdictional permitting requirements.
    • Maintain project files and input permit status into third party management systems,  report permit status to team.
    • Follow-up with permitting agencies to avoid project delays.
    • Monitor project schedule and escalate permit delays in a timely manner.
  • Update necessary tracking system(s) to ensure that project and/or program status is maintained with complete accuracy, including third party management systems.
  • Create and distribute correspondence relevant to the team or project.
  • Communicate all issues to management prior to reaching critical status.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete files for projects; continue to monitor for integrity and completeness.
  • Provide additional administrative support as required.
  • Assist with project documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.  
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience in either the engineering, construction, architecture or telecommunications industries.
  • Highly organized, self-starter, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
  • Superior time management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible, take direction with ease, including changes to schedule and workflow priorities.
  • Critical thinking skills: make assessments and provide solutions to problems.
  • Ability to maintain professional tact in a fast-paced work environment with internal personnel and clients.
  •  Superior customer service
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Sitetracker Experience a Plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
