Job Summary:
Review work at project sites to ensure work is being completed safely and efficiently. Maximize project profitability, identify project responsibilities, phases and project plan lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
Monitor and Report on Aerial and Underground Fiber Optic Construction Crew progress (up to 3-5 crews)
Investigate planned pathways in front of crews to identify and mitigate roadblocks
Represent Congruex and Client in a professional manner
Ensure work is performed in accordance with permit requirements
Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
Provide schedule, and project database updates, report regularly to project manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
Manage compliance with quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Perform equipment, material, and routine site inspections
Attend regular meetings with vendors, managers, and staff
Travel to and supervise multiple job sites during the course of a day
Required Skills & Qualifications:
General
Experience in Aerial and Underground Telecommunications construction methods and specifications. Fiber to the home experience is preferred.
Experience in construction quality management and assurance
Excellent organization and planning skills
Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
Physical requirements:
Ability to stand, stoop, squat and bend for extended periods of time
Ability to walk for extended periods of time and/or long distances
Ability to navigate through potential uneven walkways/terrain
Tolerant to extreme elements (heat, sun, wind, rain, snow, etc.)
Good vision and depth perception (corrective lenses OK)
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 10lbs minimum, and potentially up to 50lbs
Technical
Skilled in interpreting telecommunications construction drawings in hard copy and digital format
Experienced in providing redline updates to construction plans
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
GIS experience is a plus
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working as a technical construction supervisor
Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
